On the occasion of the 15^th anniversary of the HIPS it is our great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the first International Conference on Anti-infectives 2025 (ICA 2025)

International Conference on Anti-infectives 2025 (ICA 2025)

The scientific program of the ICA meeting will include five session topics focused on the latest advancements in knowledge, methodologies, and techniques in the discovery and development of anti-infectives.

Session topics:

advances in the discovery of anti-infectives
new technologies to identify the enzymatic repertoire underlying anti-infective biosynthesis
understanding natural product functions in the context of the microbiome,
(chemo)synthetic and drug design approaches towards anti-infectives and
translational aspects into industry.

Location:

The conference will take place from Tuesday 20^th to Thursday 22^nd of May 2025 at Saarland University, Aula, Campus UdS, Building A.3.3

Postdocs (PhD, Dr. rer. nat., Dr. med.): 130 Euros

Academics (all PI levels): 180 Euros

Airports near Saarbrücken: The closest airport to Saarbrücken is Saarbrücken (SCN) Airport, located just 7.6 km away. Other nearby airports include Luxembourg Airport (LUX) at 72.7 km, Frankfurt Airport (FRA) at 144.7 km, Stuttgart Airport (STR) at 170.3 km, and Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) at 183.2 km. Travel times vary: it takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes to travel from Saarbrücken HBF to Frankfurt Airport and about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Saarbrücken HBF from Luxembourg Airport.

Train services to Saarbrücken: High-speed ICE/TGV services are available from Frankfurt/Mannheim and Paris to Saarbrücken Hauptbahnhof (HBF, central station). Regional services run from Mainz, Trier and Strasbourg. At specific times it is worth leaving the regional train at Dudweiler station or Scheidt station and change for the bus.

Bus services to Saarbrücken campus: To get from Saarbrücken HBF to university campus, take either bus number 102 (to ‘Dudweiler-Dudoplatz’) or bus numbers 112 or 124 (to ‘Universität’). These services run every 30 minutes. Buses also run to the university from the districts of Saarbrücken, St. Ingbert and Neunkirchen. A shuttle bus organized by AStA runs between the Saarbrücken and Homburg university campuses.
