Kathrin Siebold completed her Bachelor and Master degrees at the university of Münster. During her Master studies she spent 6 months in the group of Chris Vanderwal at University of California Irvine working on natural product synthesis. In her Master’s thesis in the group of Prof. Ryan Gilmour she began synthesising complex, fluorinated Glycostructures. These fascinated her and she stayed in the group to perform a PhD on this topic, which was completed in September 2024. Since February 2025 she works in the group of Prof. Tobias A. M. Gulder at HIPS as a postdoctoral researcher.
