Guanghui Han studied medicinal chemistry at China Pharmaceutical University from 2012 to 2016, after which he joined Jianmin Yue’s group to continue research on natural product-based drug discovery at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He collaborated with Weiguo Cao at Shanghai University and obtained his master's degree in 2020. Following that, he enrolled at École Polytechnique in Paris through a China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarship. There, he worked on the total synthesis of natural products under the supervision of Bastien Nay and participated in research related to analytical chemistry. After receiving his PhD, he joined Rolf Müeller's group as a postdoctoral researcher in September 2024, focusing on the semisynthetic optimization of chlorotonils and their biosynthesis.
