Huixin Xu studied Bioengineering at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University from 2014 to 2018. In 2021, she earned her Master's degree in Bioengineering Technology from the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since February 2024, supported by the China Scholarship Council, she has been working as a doctoral student at the HIPS-department of Microbial Natural Products under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rolf Müller and Dr. Chengzhang Fu. Her research interests mainly focus on discovering novel bioactive secondary metabolites and the biosynthesis of natural products.
