Lea Rémy-Zéphir studied chemistry and chemical engineering as part of a Franco-German double degree program at Saarland University in Saarbrücken (Germany) and at the École européenne de chimie, polymères et matériaux in Strasbourg (France). She graduated in 2023 with a master's degree and a diploma in engineering. During her chemical engineering studies, she specialised in analytical chemistry. Lea completed her Master's thesis in 2023 at HIPS in the Microbial Natural Products department of Prof. Dr. Rolf Müller.

In September 2023, Lea started her PhD in the research group of Prof. Dr. Rolf Müller at HIPS and is working on analytical methods for the characterisation and isolation of microbial natural products from Myxobacteria.
