Shuqin Liu, born in 1997, obtained her bachelor's degree at Central South University, and studied at the Institute of Meteria Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences for three years and obtained her master's degree at Peking Union Medical College. She started her Ph.D. at HIPS in June 2023 and focuses on the Genome mining of biosynthetic gene clusters and biosynthesis of natural products from rare actinomycetes. This project aims to find potent antibiotics that may hopefully contribute to fighting antimicrobial resistance.
